Symbol- We chose Obama as a symbol cause both him and Ralph are leaders of their people. Both Obama and Ralph have to keep things organized and make sure every thing is running smoothley. Oboma and Ralph have obsticals they need to over come to be a succesfull leader. They both also need to make sure the people are happy with what they are doing. Also how they are running show. Otherwise people will start rebelling or getting mad at the leader. Ralph and Obama also need to care for there people and make sure they are getting what they need. Make sure they have food, water, shelter, ect. Thats why we picked Obama to be our symbol for Ralph.
Ralph-Ralph has a very short temper as he exspressed when the ship came and samaneric were out hunting instead of watching the most vital distress signal on the island. "I work all day with nothing but simon and you come back and don't even notice the hut's"! (Golding Pg.49) "Don't you want to be rescued? All you think about is pig, pig, pig"! (Golding Pg.49) "They let the bloody fire go out"! (Golding Pg.62) "There was a ship out there, you said you'd keep the fire going and you let it go out". (Golding Pg.64) "He began to cry out, shrilly: You and your blood, Jack Merridew! You and your hunting! We might have gone home". (GoldingPg.64)
Predictions- We predict that Ralph loses leadership; Ralph becomes outcast; Ralph makes it home.
Themes- War: The boys formed two tribes ans stared a war. They became vicious just like their countries.
Greedy: People were greedy.
Fear: People (the boys) are scared to live there at first and then they all have a certain fear in their heart
